Senator Barack Hussein Obama, currently on his premature victory tour, declined to visit our brave and wounded troops in Germany.

Basking in the adulation of Germans who, unfortunately for him, cannot vote in American elections–except, maybe, in Chicago–Obama’s camp announced that his sort of scheduled visit to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center had been scrapped.

“Obama decided ‘it would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign,’ ” to which a McCain spokesman Brian Rogers responded, “Barack Obama is wrong. It is never inappropriate to visit our men and women in the military.”

Valid point there, Mr. Rogers, which leads to some valid questions for Obama:

Was it not inappropriate to plan to deliver a political speech at the iconic Brandenburg Gate, a plan quashed by German Chancellor Angela Merkle?

Was it not inappropriate to presumptuously pose in front of what suspiciously resembled the presidential seal more than four months before Americans said they wanted you as president?  Obama's great seal small.jpg

If it was not inappropriate to pose with our troops not in hospitals, what was the problem with performing an act of charity by going to see our wounded?

I believe most thinking Americans know the answer to that last query.  In essence, Mr. Obama, Jesse Jackson must have succeeded in castrating you and you therefore didn’t possess the gonads to do the right thing.  Or was it a gut fear that you would be booed out of the hospital wards?

Incidentally, anyone wishing to do something Obama refused to do and (virtually) visit those guys and girls at Landstuhl, please click http://www.noanie.com/ .  That website plaintively hints our wounded get by with a little help from their friends, so be a friend.
