"GAYS" ARE UPSET BECAUSE SARAH PALIN’S CHURCH WANTS TO SAVE THEM?

I must not get it. There’s so much antipathy in this country toward homosexuals and yet good people who want to end that antipathy by getting “gays” to return to normal lives are castigated for trying to “pray away the gay.”

I realize that at least some “gays” don’t wish to convert or be saved and consider such efforts as discriminatory but why oppose those who wish to convert them, unless they have sincere doubts as to their life choice?

Governor Palin hasn’t commented publically on the issue so it seems to me this is just another effort to unfairly isolate her in an anti-homosexual corner in order to win votes for Obama. Since he has the "gay" vote locked up anyway, why all the fuss?

“I think gay Republicans are going to run away” if Palin supports efforts like the prayers to convert gays, said Wayne Besen, founder of the New York-based Truth Wins Out, a gay rights advocacy group.

I think there are relatively few “gays” in Alaska anyway so what’s Besen’s point? Where are they going to run? Alabama?

If acceptance by the straight world is their ultimate goal, the best route for a "gay" guy to take is to get out in the Alaskan woods and hunt, shoot, and field dress a moose.

PALIN'S PASTOR PROMOTES PEDOPHILIA--AND OTHER LIES

They’ve already attacked her daughter, Bristol, and most people attacked the attackers because of those attacks.

They’ve said she has no experience to be vice president and it turns out she has more administrative experience than Obama or Biden combined.

They’ve floated rumors about her “affairs” and her husband’s “affairs,” suggested that baby Trig wasn’t her baby, dug up a twenty year old DUI on her husband, and they’re probably planning to say that she worked her way through college by hooking in Juneau since nothing else has succeeded in smearing Governor Sarah Palin.

In the interim before publishing the hooker lie, they’re focusing on her pastor and trying to get her to repudiate him just as Obama repudiated Reverend Wright.

Aside from the alliterative appeal of that title, the reason for this “problem,” according to Koppelman, is that her pastor, Larry Kroon, invited Jews for Jesus founder, David Brickner, to speak at his church in August. In fact, that was his second such sermon at Kroon’s church.

Most people realized that Porter wasn’t singing about the birds and the bees or even about falling in love back in 1928 when he wrote, “Let’s Do It.”  Back in his time, when a girl “did it” and got caught, she was usually hustled off to a distant relative or to a home for wayward girls. 

Times have changed.  And now that Republican VP candidate, Governor Sarah Palin’s family has revealed that seventeen year old Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/bristol_palin_is_pregnant.html,  lowlife, hypocritical leftist bloggers, all virtuous Puritans, no doubt, are having a field day since she obviously “did it.”

The announcement was made to quash their earlier slander that Trig, the five month old Palins’ baby, was actually Bristol’s child which would make Sarah and Todd grandparents. 

Then, when the leering lefties noticed what they described as Bristol’s baby bump, they shifted tactics and began saying she was (again?) with child so the Palins, to their credit, decided to clear the air.

Like scavengers falling on a decaying carcass, the licentious lefties, along with the supermarket tabloids, will now feast on this story and attempt to plague Bristol and her family with their cameras and microphones hoping to get some tidbits about how this could happen to such a morally upright, family values clan.  I hope they try since it will provide the family’s Secret Service detail with some recreation when they bash heads.

The libs’ Bristol Stomp can and will backfire on them and, on the one hand, I hope they do treat her as they do poptart Jamie Lynn Spears.  All their slime will return to them and coat them while redounding to Bristol’s and her parents’ credit.

On the other hand, I’d like to scream louder than that YouTube nut who was so distressed over the media’s incessant harassment of her sister Britney and wanted everyone to just “Leave her alone!” 

In case you hadn’t noticed, we live in a sexually loose and permissive culture.  A few generations ago, the word “pregnant” was verboten on the Big Screen, a bedroom love scene required that the male lover keep one foot on the floor, and even married Lucy and Desi slept in twin beds with a discreet three feet or so between them. 

Now, Baby, virtually anything goes and I’m not sure I should even use “virtually” there.  So, here we have pretty, pregnant Bristol Palin, born and raised in a God-fearing, conservative, Christian family which adheres to and preaches Christian values, with parents who oppose sex education in her schools, who surely inculcated in Bristol the importance of chastity and sexual abstinence.  However, unfortunately, parental influence and teachings have defined limits and only a cloistered child who is locked in her room 24/7 will be free of contradictory influences. 

Where did she go wrong and why did she sin?  Here’s a clue:  She’s a kid and, governor’s kid or not, she’s a dumb teenager who made a mistake.  Dumbteenager should logically be one word since, no matter how book smart they are, by definition teens are dumb in the sense of being immature and impulsive, and, yes, they’re bubbling with hormones.  Put those characteristics together and they make errors in their lives, sometimes serious errors the consequences of which change their lives forever.

If I were Bristol Palin’s parent, I’d be proud of her, not because she made a mistake but because she owned up to it.  Nowadays, even in Alaska, Planned Parenthood or some other abortion provider would have enthusiatically “taken care of” her little problem and no one would have known about it.

Bristol not only owned up and will, hopefully, carry her baby to term but she plans to marry the father.  That makes her different from millions of other young and older girls in America and far different from millions of others who bear children out of wedlock and whose boyfriends then dump them and are seen and heard from no more.

Of course, we will have to see how it all works out and whether Bristol’s boyfriend is as honorable as she but for now, let’s just remember some words to live by:  Whoever is without sin, such as liberal bloggers, pick up a blogstone and hurl it at her as Musims still do with real stones.  If you happen to be a human being and have your own baggage stuffed with sins, then just wish her the best. 

I also wish Governor Palin a great tenure as Vice President of the United States. 

Saying the American Media is slanted toward Democrats and especially Obama is like saying that grass is green and Biden is a plagiarist; they’re all proven facts.

It must be acknowledged, too, that many decades back, much of the media had a Republican bias which hardly excuses the current media but nevertheless is true.

The Left/Liberal/Democrat bias of the media can only be surprising to the most naive of observers who either have their heads where the sun doesn’t shine, are just plain ignorant, or both.  That naivete’ and sunless ignorance is very reminiscent of the late liberal, homophobic, and vicious film critic Pauline Kael who was shocked, shocked I tell you that Nixon won in 1972 when she didn’t know anyone who voted for Tricky Dick.  That might have been a wakeup call to some people but those whose heads are shielded from sunshine don’t get such calls.

In any event, the question is not whether the media is liberal or not.  The real question is why they just don’t understand how the real world is in touch with reality and they are not.

There once was a time when campus highjinx referred to the antics of college kids engaged in such harmless stunts as conducting late night panty raids, swallowing goldfish, or stuffing twenty human beings into a Volkswagen.  Those college days are long gone.  

Many of today’s college students are so hungover from last night’s binging and with heads so clouded with marijuana that they wouldn’t know how to conduct a panty raid or they would confuse a goldfish with a bong.  As for stuffing twenty of themselves into a Volkswagen, they’re far too busy stuffing themselves into coeds.

The trickle down has trickled into high schools, middle schools, and even elementary schools and whereas in olden days when the chief issues teachers had were kids chewing gum and talking in class, contemporary problems often involve sex and drugs and rocking and rolling in ways their grandparents could never have imagined.

The Guttmacher Institute, a “research arm” for Planned Parenthood and a purveyor of abortion, (see http://www.pop.org/main.cfm?EID=628, and http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=10643)  reports that almost half of 15-19 year olds have had sex, by 15 “only” 13 % have had sex, but by age 19 some 70% have gone all the way, as we elders euphemistically called intercourse.  http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/fb_ATSRH.html. 

The recent scandal that rocked Gloucester High School in Massachusetts, which caters to kids bearing kids, may have been an aberration to a degree since teenies there actually planned their pregnancies, but sex in all its variations has clearly become one of the most popular indoor–and sometimes outdoor–sport in and out of America’s public schools.  (See previous articles on this website on Gloucester High and teen sex.)

Many teachers have adapted to this new educational environment in less than pedagogically-sound ways as seen especially in Parts One and Two of this series and, again those incidents were not exceptional.

Others included a senior field trip to Washington D.C. when a science teacher chaperone seemed to forget the purpose of his presence in the hotel–to chaperone, protect, and guide those in his charge.  Mr. D. was a married man whose excuse was that he was trashed when he broke into a girls’ room and attempted to rape one of them.  He was summarily not discharged and sent packing although a letter of reprimand may have been placed in his personnel file.  Police were not summoned; they rarely are since police reports and publicity were anathema to school administrators. 

BARACK AMERICA AND PRESIDENT BIDEN: TWO MORONIC PEAS IN A POD

Barack Hussein Obama long ago established himself as a clod who, without a teleprompter from which to read his lines, stumbles, bumbles, and “umms…aahs…wells…y’knows” as if extemporaneous speaking were a foreign language.  How this guy got through law school makes one wonder whether affirmative action played a major role.

Now he’s been joined on the stump by Senator Joe Biden as the Chosen One’s Chosen Soon-To-Be-VP-Nominee.  In their first joint appearance, and that’s joint as in joined together not joint as what Bubba never inhaled, both gave indications as to how much fun the next 3 1/2 months will be.

Biden has lots of ’splainin’ to do, concerning why Obama wasn’t ready to be president a few months ago but amazingly achieved that readiness in so short a period of time.  A quick study, maybe? 

I wonder, too, whether Barack asked Joe during the vetting process what he really meant when he called the junior senator from Illinois a “clean” African-American and why he plagiarized a speech back in 1988 and why he felt the need to get hair plugs.  Are clean African-Americans the exception to some rule?  When he plagiarized from Brit pol, Neil Kinnock, was he merely giving a backhanded compliment to Kinnock?  When he wore those hair plugs on the floor of the Senate, was he really just making a statement about male pattern baldness?

This duo could very well come to rival Laurel and Hardy or Abbott and Costello or Martin and Lewis for their comedy routines, slips of the lips, and gaffes du jour. 

OBAMA LXVI: INFANTICIDIST!

There’s a whole new story circulating about Barack Hussein Obama and his views on abortion.  We have long known that he has the most pro-abortion record in the U.S. Senate.  He has already expressed his wish that his own daughters would abort a baby should they conceive out of wedlock.  We know that he fully endorses the barbaric “procedure” known as partial birth abortion which snuffs out the life of an almost born child by sucking out its brain.  (See previous articles on Obama and abortion.)

If Americans ever had any doubt that this man has no respect for human life, that doubt should be quashed by recent revelations concerning his years in the Illinois State Senate. 

In fact, this new insight into the mind of Obama can only tangentially be termed an abortion issue since it involves a post abortion “procedure.”

Here’s the scenario:  An abortionist doctor botches the job.  Despite all his efforts to destroy a life, the baby survives and is lying on a table, perhaps struggling to live, perhaps not, but nevertheless alive and breathing outside the mother’s womb.

Sticky wicket, as the Brits would say, although not for Obama. 

In 2002, the Illinois Senate was debating the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, a bill that would have mandated that should a baby–and we are talking a baby, now, not a mere product of conception or a gelatinous glob of tissue–should that baby that miraculously survives all efforts to eradicate its life be left to die or should all possible efforts be made to help it live?

To me, it’s a pretty easy call.  Bad enough that the abortionist tried to take the baby’s life in the first instance, but he failed and the baby was born.  Do note that the Illinois Senate bill referred to an “infant,“ not a fetus since it could not be termed anything else.
